About HoneyHive

At HoneyHive, we are building the new observability stack for AI agents. Our platform is used by leading AI startups and Fortune 500 enterprises to build, deploy, and observe AI agents. AI engineers use our platform debug complex agents, evaluate output quality, monitor agent failures in production, and a whole lot more.

We’ve raised $7.4M Seed from Insight Partners and are on track to scale further. Our founding team includes AI, infra, and product experts who’ve shipped large-scale systems at Microsoft OpenAI, Amazon, Amplitude, New Relic, and more.

About the role

As a Product Engineer at HoneyHive, you'll be at the forefront of shaping how companies build and deploy AI agents. Our end-users are sophisticated AI engineers at high-growth companies – and you'll be building the tools they rely on daily.

We’re a small team, which means you'll have tremendous impact and ownership. You'll work directly with customers and have the freedom to explore your own ideas.

In this role, you will

  • Own end-to-end product development – Take features from concept to deployment across our full stack, including complex data visualizations, real-time monitoring dashboards, and evaluation tools

  • Ship new product features – Examples include:

    • Advanced trace visualization and debugging interfaces for AI agent workflows

    • Real-time evaluation dashboards with custom metrics and alerting

    • Interactive prompt engineering tools with A/B testing capabilities

    • Multi-modal data exploration interfaces for LLM traces

  • Craft exceptional user experiences – Work closely with customers to design delightful, intuitive interfaces for complex AI engineering workflows. We care deeply about UX craftsmanship and aren't afraid to go deep to deliver the best possible experience

  • Shape our technical architecture – Contribute to architectural decisions, tech stack choices, and engineering best practices as we scale our product and team. We care about code quality and maintainability!

Our stack

We use React, Express, and NextJS for web development, AWS for all our cloud needs, and are building SDKs in Typescript and Python using OpenTelemetry (OTEL).

About you

We think you'd be a great fit if you have:

  • 5+ years of full-stack product engineering experience with a strong focus on building user-facing features and exceptional product craft.

  • Frontend engineering expertise – Deep proficiency in React and TypeScript. Opinionated on state management. Knowledge and experience with latest libraries like Next.js, Tanstack, Zod, Recharts, etc.

  • Full-stack capabilities – Solid backend skills with API design. Experience with database optimization and distributed systems are nice to haves.

  • Product + design sensibility – You understand how to balance technical excellence with user needs, and have the ability to craft intuitive UX for complex technical workflows.

What sets great candidates apart:

  • Early-stage startup experience – You've built new features from 0 → 1 and taken broad ownership of product areas.

  • AI engineering familiarity – Understanding of core concepts like prompt engineering, RAG, agent orchestration, evals, etc.

Why join

  • You'll build critical infrastructure that engineers at cutting-edge companies rely on daily.
