About HoneyHive

At HoneyHive, we are building the new observability stack for AI agents. Our platform is used by leading AI startups and Fortune 500 enterprises to build, deploy, and observe AI agents. AI engineers use our platform debug complex agents, evaluate output quality, monitor agent failures in production, and a whole lot more.

We’ve raised $7.4M Seed from Insight Partners and are on track to scale further. Our founding team includes AI, infra, and product experts who’ve shipped large-scale systems at Microsoft OpenAI, Amazon, Amplitude, New Relic, and more.

About the role

As our Founding Developer Relations Engineer, you'll be the architect of HoneyHive's developer community and the voice that bridges our product with developers. This is a foundational role where you'll build our entire DevRel motion from the ground up – creating the content, documentation, and experiences that will define how developers discover, learn, and succeed with HoneyHive.

You'll be working at the intersection of technical depth and community building, crafting everything from comprehensive documentation to viral demos that showcase the future of AI development tooling. This role requires exceptional technical chops, world-class communication skills, and the creativity to make complex AI observability concepts accessible and exciting.

In this role, you will closely collaborate with our founders and engineering team to:

  • Own our documentation ecosystem – Create comprehensive developer-first docs, quickstart guides, API references, and tutorials that become the gold standard for AI tooling

  • Craft compelling technical content – Write blog posts, case studies, and tutorials that educate the AI engineering community on observability best practices and debugging techniques

  • Execute growth strategies – Design and implement creative tactics across social media, developer communities, referral programs, and partnership channels

  • Organize high-impact events – Plan and execute demos, hackathons, meetups, and conference presentations that position HoneyHive as a thought leader

  • Enable customer success – Support customers through instrumentation walkthroughs, custom integration scripts, tailored implementation guides, and bespoke training sessions

  • Establish thought leadership – Represent HoneyHive at conferences and industry events, positioning our team as experts in AI observability and evaluation

About you

We think you'd be a great fit if you have:

  • 4+ years of developer relations, technical marketing, or similar with proven ability to drive adoption of technical tools

  • Strong technical background – Computer Science degree or equivalent hands-on experience with ability to write production-quality code

  • Exceptional communication skills – World-class writing ability with a portfolio of technical blog posts, tutorials, and documentation

  • AI engineering fluency – Deep understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, and the broader AI development ecosystem

What sets great candidates apart:

  • Previous technical roles – Experience as a software engineer, solutions engineer, or technical consultant

  • AI agents experience – Hands-on experience building with LangGraph, CrewAI, MCP, or similar

  • Event organizing experience – Track record of running successful developer events, hackathons, or technical meetups
